Upon receipt of the claim, HR will review the submittal & contact you if additional information is needed. Once information is compiled, a claims adjuster from the Town’s third-party administrator will contact you, typically within 48 business hours from the date they receive the complete claim information. A claims adjuster must conduct an investigation before final decision on liability/payment(s). This process can take 30 days or longer depending on the nature of claim(s). Submitting a claim does not mean the Town of Huntersville is accepting liability for a claim, nor does it waive any legal rights you and/or the Town may be able to rely on.
