1. What does Code Enforcement enforce?

The Huntersville Code Enforcement staff enforces Huntersville's Zoning Ordinance within the Town limits and Huntersville's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). In addition to enforcing the Zoning Ordinance, the following chapters of the Huntersville Code of Ordinances are enforced by Code Enforcement within the Town Limits:

• Chapter 92: Abandoned Motor Vehicles
• Chapter 93: Nuisances
  • Please note: Noise violations are handled by the Huntersville Police Department. The Huntersville Police Department also handles Animal Control violations.
• Chapter 150 Minimum Housing Standards
• Chapter 152 Nonresidential Building Code
