The Town of Huntersville seeks an experienced leader with a broad background in municipal management and knowledge of North Carolina Statutes and Regulations. He/she must be an excellent communicator with the ability to lead in a team environment. The ideal candidate possesses experience supervising a variety of departments with a strong working knowledge of administration, finance, parks and recreation, planning, police, public works, and fire/EMT services and the technology available to improve efficiencies in department operations. The ideal candidate works strategically with elected and appointed officials, department directors, residents and other customers. Candidates must have the ability to handle and resolve difficult situations, facilitate effective problem solving, lead collaborative efforts, and delegate while keeping a pulse on progress. A master’s degree in public administration or related field and at least five years’ experience as a Town Manager or Assistant Town Manager is required. Salary is negotiable and dependent on qualifications and experience.
