Town Seeks Applicants for Transit Services Advisory Committee

The Town of Huntersville is currently seeking applicants to represent the Town on the Transit Advisory Committee, which is made up of customers of the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) and are appointed by the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and the six towns.  The Town is allocated one position for a three year term on TSAC, with the current term expiring on January 31,2020.

The Transit Services Advisory Committee reviews, makes recommendations and provides input into short-range transit operations.  The TSAC focuses on day-to-day operations of the transit service to ensure that it meets the needs of the community.  It makes recommendations to the MTC on issues within its sphere of interest, and acts as a vehicle to promote public involvement in short-term transit planning.

Monthly TSAC meetings are held every second Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center (CMGC), 600 E. 4th Street. These meetings are open to the public.

Interested applicants can view previous meeting agendas and meeting summaries online at: https://charlottenc.gov/cats/about/boards/Pages/tsac.aspx.

To apply, complete a Town Advisory Board Application and submit it to the Town Clerk as indicated on the form.
