Town Requesting LOI for Professional Engineering Services for Huntington Green Sidewalk

The Town of Huntersville (Town) is Requesting Letters of Intent (LOI) for Professional Engineering Services for Huntington Green Sidewalk Project until 2:00pm on January 3rd, 2020 Proposals can be emailed to Candice Tatu, Project Coordinator at, or alternatively, proposals can be mailed to Town of Huntersville Engineering at PO Box 664, Huntersville, NC 28070 or delivered to 105 Gilead Road, Suite 300 Huntersville, NC 28070. 

It shall be the sole responsibility of the firm to make sure that their proposal and included submittals are received by the Town on or before the deadline. Any proposals, and included submittals, not received by the deadline will be disqualified from consideration.

The Town is requesting LOI from Private Engineering Firms (PEF) to provide Engineering Design and Surveying services for approximately 6200 LF of sidewalk. The purpose of this project is to provide safe pedestrian transportation in the Huntington Green and surrounding communities. the Town’s standards and terms. The Town will follow Mini-Brooks Act N.C.G.S 143-64 for this agreement. If awarded, the contract will be awarded to the PEF qualified to provide such services on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualification for the type of professional services submitting by the deadline stated above taking into account quality, performance and time.

The successful PEF will be required to enter into the Town’s Standard form Agreement for Professional Engineering Services.

This project is being funded in whole or in part by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). All federal CDBG requirements will apply to the contract: Bidders on this
work will be required to comply with Section 109 and E.O. 11246 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Davis Bacon Act, Anti-Kickback Act, and Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. The Town/City/County is committed to and supportive of efforts to effectively maintain and/or increase the use of Small and Minority/Women-Owned Business and Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) contract participation for Construction projects, services (including professional and consultingservices) and commodities purchases, AND increase contract participation to offer employment, training and contracting opportunities in accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (24 C.F.R Part 135).  

The Town Huntersville reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals received, by the deadline stated above, and to waive minor informalities.
