The Town of Huntersville is currently accepting applications for the 2019 session of Huntersville 101, which returns this September. The nine-week program offers Huntersville residents and business owners a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about town departments, services and current projects underway.
The 2019 class begins on Wednesday, September 4th and will continue every Wednesday through the end of October for nine weeks. Each session will typically run from 6 to 8 p.m., though some may go past that time based on participant questions.
Huntersville 101 is a beneficial program for prospective applicants seeking openings on town appointed boards and committees. Previous Huntersville 101 graduates currently sit on the Board of Commissioners, while others have applied for and successfully been appointed to the Huntersville Planning Board; Board of Adjustment; Parks & Recreation Commission; and the Greenway, Trail and Bikeway Commission.
Huntersville 101 is open to Huntersville residents and space is limited to 20 participants. If needed, a selection process will be used to balance the class. There is no cost. To download an application, visit Huntersville.org. For more information, contact Bobby Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org or (704)766-2207.
Individuals accepted into the 2019 class will be notified by Friday, August 30th at the latest.
