Safety Town
Safety Town is a 4-day program for children entering kindergarten in August. It teaches life-saving lessons in the following topics:
- Bicycle, Bus, Drug, Fire, Gun, Pedestrian, Playground, Poison, Stranger and Traffic Safety
Children will use the safety tips learned in a child-size town which includes:
- Tricycles, Crosswalks, Colorful Buildings, Street Signs, and a Working Traffic Light
Safety Town 2021 Session Dates and Times:
Please Note: Due to COVID and the uncertainty of restrictions in June; this is subject to change, as our first priority is the safety of the children. If you have had a child in Safety Town before, you will notice there are more dates but less times. This will allow us time for cleaning each room and equipment after each session. Class sizes have been reduce from 32 to 12, and each session will be divided into groups of six.
June 7 - June 10

Fee:
Safety Town fee is $75 and includes T-shirt and bicycle helmet.

Registration starts March 1, 2021

Applications will be accepted on line. Due to the uncertainty of COVID restrictions in June, please hold your payment until you are notified to pay. Payment may be mailed or dropped off at the Huntersville Police Department (the address is listed below). Make checks or money order payable to Town of Huntersville (Safety Town and the child’s name should be in the memo section), and send it to:
