D.A.R.E. Camp

Our D.A.R.E. Officers teach the national D.A.R.E. program in a ten session format.

It focuses on drug and alcohol prevention as well as topics such as effective communication, active listening, how to stop bullying, good citizenship, helping others, and other positive choices.

Our Summer Camp is designed to provide children with positive activities and an opportunity to put what they learned into action.

The camps are organized and supervised by School Resource Officers from the Huntersville Police Department.  Our D.A.R.E Camps are unique, because they are the only camps where students get to spend the week with police officers on a personal level.

2018 Camp Dates are:

July 16 - 19  ( Full )

July 23 - 26  (4 spaces)

Space is limited to 24 campers per week and slots are filled on a first come, first served basis.  Preference will be given to Huntersville residents.  If a camp becomes full and there is enough demand to fill an additional 10 slots, we will consider expanding the number of slots available in 12 spot increments.
