PARKS & RECREATION FACILITIES

Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department’s Parks and Facilities Division is responsible for maintaining and operating twenty-four (24) parks and recreational facilities, which include 

  • One (1) 18 Hole Disc Golf Course
  • One (1) Dog Park
  • Two (2) Outdoor Fitness Stations
  • Twelve (12) Covered Shelters
  • Thirteen (13) Restroom Facilities
  • Four (4) Civic Buildings
  • Nineteen (19) Soccer Fields (including 6 synthetic turf fields)
  • Seven (7) Outdoor Basketball Courts
  • Nine (9) Gymnasiums
  • Nineteen (19) Tennis Courts
  • Six (6) Outdoor Pickleball Courts
  • Town Center Building
  • Town Hall
  • Thirteen (13) Playgrounds
  • Twenty-three (23) Baseball / Softball Fields

Frequently Visited

The department is responsible for 640 acres of parkland. Over 1.4 million patrons visited our parks and indoor facilities last year. Total attendance was up by 2% compared to 2016. The amenities in our parks and facilities were reserved for more than 66,000 hours. Some of the most used parks in Mecklenburg County are in Huntersville with more than 7,400 athletic games played in 2017.
