The Engineering Department oversees the Town of Huntersville Capital Improvement Projects for Town maintained streets and sidewalks. They manage the development and delivery of roadway and sidewalk projects through the land development plan review and Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) review process.
Engineering works closely with the Public Works Department in the construction and maintenance of Town owned streets and sidewalks and ensure ADA sidewalk compliance.
Engineering also assists residents who express concern related to neighborhood street parking and vehicular speeds within a residential neighborhood. The Town has established a residential Neighborhood Street Parking Restriction Request Policy and a Traffic Calming Policy to assist with these concerns.
All traffic signals within the Town of Huntersville are maintained by NCDOT. For concerns or comments related to traffic signals, please contact NCDOT at 704-244-8270.
Developers, Engineers and/or Architects can find Town of Huntersville Ordinances, Standards and Manuals under Engineering Plan Review and the Land Development section of this website.
