The Town Attorney serves as general counsel to the Town by providing advice to the Mayor and Commissioners, Town Administration and staff, and advises the appointed members of the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment.

The Town Attorney’s Office cannot provide legal representation or give legal advice to residents, groups or businesses on any matter.

Electronic Mail and Public Records

The Town of Huntersville maintains electronic mail lists for individual subscribers to receive updates, newsletters and other information from the Town. Pursuant to the North Carolina Public Records Laws (see NCGS §132-1, et. seq.), the Town is not required to provide a copy of the list, but the list shall be available for public inspection in either printed or electronic format, or both. The Town may use the list only for the purpose for which it was subscribed and to notify subscribers of a public health or safety emergency. In the event the list is deleted, the Town will notify subscribers of the existence of a similar list, if any.
