Fire & Rescue

FHuntersville Fire Departmentire protection for the Town of Huntersville and its extra-territorial jurisdiction is provided by the Huntersville Fire Department (HFD). The Huntersville Fire Department is an independent combination department, made up of paid staffing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - supplemented by volunteers serving alongside the paid crews as needed. HFD currently has over 100 members (volunteers and paid staffing combined) providing fire and rescue service to over 60,000 Huntersville residents and property in the town's 63-square mile jurisdiction. 

The County's volunteer fire departments are funded in part by county fire service districts in the Town's ETJ, with the town paying for capital items.
