Northeast Huntersville Minor Thoroughfare Public Workshop
The Town of Huntersville will hold a public workshop on a proposed new minor thoroughfare between Huntersville-Concord Road and NC-73 on Monday, September 10, 2007 from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at Huntersville Town Hall. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to review alternative alignments for the proposed two-lane roadway and to offer comments.
The Town decided to study the need for adding another thoroughfare in Northeast Huntersville during the approval process for locating Prosperity Church Road Extension. Work began on the study in March 2007 with the following study products completed to date:

Following the September 10th public workshop, the Planning Board will receive a technical presentation on alignment options on September 25th while the Town Board will receive a briefing on October 1st. The Planning Board will recommend an alignment at its October 23rd meeting. The Town Board’s recommendation to the Mecklenburg-Union Planning Organization (MUMPO) would occur on November 5th with MUMPO’s decision on an alignment being made at the agency’s November 14th meeting.
