Huntersville Town Center
Project Description: The Huntersville Town Center Project is a public-private venture that will serve as a catalyst for downtown redevelopment, highlighted by Discovery Place Kids (DPK). Discovery Place Kids will be the first satellite museum for Charlotte-based Discovery Place, which will target kids from birth to seven years of age. DPK will occupy two floors of the new civic building with Town offices on the third floor (Planning, Public Works, Parks & Recreation and Transportation Planning) and a public plaza.

Additionally, private partner NORCOM Properties is developing an additional 3-story building (approximately 45,000 square feet) perpendicular to Town Center to include retail, restaurant and office space. A three (3)-story parking deck totaling 282 spaces will be constructed in the rear to accommodate daily visitors.
Charlotte-based Rodgers Builders, Inc. is the general contractor for Town Center and the parking deck.
A ground-breaking ceremony was held June 9th and Rodgers Builders began preparing the site for clearing and grading shortly after. The project has a 10-month construction schedule for completion.
