For nearly twenty years, R.A.D. Systems has been creating opportunities for women to realize their inner power and strength. The Huntersville Police Department is proud to now offer this training to the women of our community. This training will be delivered by R.A.D. trained and certified sworn Police Officers of the department in an atmosphere of respect and honor.

The cornerstone of R.A.D. Systems has its foundations in education and awareness.  Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) means philosophically “defense against abduction”. The course includes lecture, lively discussion and simple self defense techniques, suitable for women of all ages and abilities. Classes range from nine to twelve hours in length and are usually limited to 16 – 20 participants.

Preference is given to Huntersville residents. If there is class space available, non- residents may enroll in the training.  For more information about the program or to register, please contact Captain Michael Kee (704)875-6542 or mkee@huntersville.org.
