Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA)
Determination of Need & Preparation Process


Down Arrow Callout: Determination of TIA Need Applicant submits Determination of TIA Need form to Planning Department. Based on proposed land use, staff to determine need for TIA (i.e. 50 + peak hour, or 500 + daily trips. If TIA is needed, applicant may proceed to hire qualified TIA consultant * Down Arrow Callout: TIA Pre-Scoping Package and Scoping Meeting If TIA is required, applicant shall contact Town staff to schedule TIA scoping meeting. Pre-scoping package to be submitted to Town Planning Department minimum of 5 business days before scoping meeting Down Arrow Callout: Development Proposal Submitted Once a final scope of work has been approved by Town staff, a development proposal may be submitted per the Plan Submission Schedule Down Arrow Callout: Submission and Review of Draft TIA TIA to be submitted to Planning Department for review by Planning & Engineering staff. Review to be complete within 30 days of submission. Down Arrow Callout: Final TIA To be completed and accepted by Town staff prior to final action by the Town Board or permitting issuing authority.
