Camp Counselor
Salary: $ 8.00 - $ 8.50 per hour

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Assists the Camp Director and/or Recreation Assistant with the implementation of the Summer Day Camp Program. General work hours may vary, but will work an eight (8)-work shift Monday thru Friday starting from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. Camp Counselors are under the supervision of Camp Director and Recreation Assistant. First Aid / CPR training will be provided.

TYPICAL TASKS:

• Implementing, supervising and directing daily activities and responsible for welfare, conduct, discipline and safety of children.
• Organizes activities, games, field trips, arts and crafts, and more. Ensures preparation of facility, coordination from all types (including snacks, crafts, active and passive games, field trips, special events, etc.)
• Communicate day camp rules, procedures, and activities to campers and their parents or guardians.
• Notifies Recreation Assistant of accidents, incidents, disciplinary action and other circumstances of concern
• Consults with Recreation Assistant when any issues arise not covered in this statement of duties
• Consistently demonstrates excellence customer service skills
• Performs other related duties as required.

Park/Building Monitor
Salary: $8.00 per hour
Under direct supervision from the Facilities and Tournament Supervisor, this position is responsible for:

· Consults with Facilities and Tournament Supervisor when any issues arise.
· Performs general maintenance to park grounds and facilities. Such as cleaning of restrooms, empty trashcans, picking up trash, and etc.
· Responsible for opening and closing of parks and facilities
· Work involves ensuring compliance with park/gym rules and regulations, assisting individuals and groups using parks/gyms and ensuring safety and security of parks/gyms and patrons.
· Maintains various attendance information as required
· Marks and Drags Baseball Fields.
· Promotes good relations with citizens using the parks and recreation facilities
· General work hours may vary but normal work schedule is weeknights from 5pm – 9pm and weekends between 7am to 9pm.

Police Officer
Salary: $33,737 + DOE and educational level with a 5% increase at the end of a 6-month probation period. Excellent benefits package including 401-K and tuition reimbursement.

Requirements: Huntersville Police Department is a total Community Oriented Policing department. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Community Policing philosophy and an understanding of the SARA model of problem solving. Must be able to make sound decisions in dealing with emergency and non-emergency situations. Job requires extensive public contact in which officer must relate professionally with students, citizens, business owners and sometimes, the media. Applicants must be BLET certified at the time the application is received. Also, accepting out of state applicants who are currently sworn as a Law Enforcement Officer with at least two years of experience. Must be able to pass all phases of the hiring process, including oral board, background investigation, psychological and physical examinations, polygraph test, and drug screening.

Teen Adventure Camp Director
Salary: $10.00 - $ 11.00 per hour

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Supervises, plans, and directs the Teen Adventure Camp Program. The work hours will vary, but general working hours will be an eight (8)-work shift Monday thru Friday starting from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Camp Director is under the supervision of Recreation Coordinator. CPR training will be provided.


TYPICAL TASKS:

• Implementing, supervising and directing daily activities and responsible for welfare, conduct, discipline and safety of teens.
• Monitor teens in all camp activities (including overnight trips).
• Consistently demonstrates excellence customer service skills.
• Foster and demonstrate team building and group dynamics skills for the campers.
• Communicate teen camp rules, procedures, and activities to campers and their parents or guardians.
• Notifies Recreation Coordinator of accidents, incidents, disciplinary action and other circumstances of concern
• Consults Recreation Coordinator with when any issues arise not covered in this statement of duties.
• Performs other related duties as required.
