Final Thoroughfare Recommendations

A final recommendation on thoroughfare alignments for Hambright Road, Everette Keith Road, and Verhoeff Drive will be presented to the Town Board at their November 4th meeting.  Click here to view the staff recommendation.

Planning Board Presentations

At the June 25th Planning Board Meeting the Board voted to endorse the staff recommendation for final thoroughfare alignments for Hambright Road, Everette Keith Road, and Verhoeff Drive.  Click here for the meeting minutes.

At the May 28
th Huntersville Planning Board meeting, planning staff presented its recommendations for the following thoroughfare alignments. Click here for the meeting minutes.

  • Hambright Road (from Everette Keith Road to Eastfield Road)
  • Everette Keith Road (from Eastfield Road to Verhoeff Drive)
  • Verhoeff Drive (from Asbury Chapel Road to Prosperity Church Road)

Hambright Road

A total of 6 options were studied for the Hambright Road thoroughfare alignment.  Alignments 2 and 4 were eliminated from consideration due to adverse impacts on either the natural or built environment.  The remaining 4 options were analyzed, with staff recommending Alignment 6.  A matrix summarizing the impacts of each alignment on the natural, and built environment, along with the estimated cost to construct each route may be reviewed by clicking here
