Downtown Market Event Series:

May 13Welcome to the market! Come meet our vendors and our sponsors Novant Health & Springfree Trampoline on opening day at Huntersville Elementary School! Enjoy Chef Matt's samples, music, face painting, balloon twisters, and trampolines for free! 

May 20Chef Matt Day: #PickStrawberriesDay - Come see what Chef Matt is sampling with our vendors fresh strawberries!

May 27Salsa & Chef Matt Day: Try Chef Matt’s salsa 8am-12pm. Learn how to can and preserve what you make throughout the year.

June 3Little Chef’s Day: Come learn to cook with Chef Matt for free! Ages 5-12. Session start times: 9am/10am/11am (until all seats are full!). Sessions last approximately 40 minutes.  Novant Health will be on site handing out recipes and other great ideas.

June 10Live Music & Iced Tea Day: Chef Matt with be putting Iced Tea Day into full swing using fruits from the market to infuse iced tea. Come learn how you can make this at home and skip buying the processed drinks sold in stores! Live music by Charlotte Folk Society from 10am-12pm. 

June 17 – Father’s Day Celebrations: Gift card giveaways for Father’s Day is a great last minute present! Chef Matt will also be grilling delicious meat samples for recipe ideas. Come join our entertainment sponsor - Springfree Trampoline for some jumping fun! Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation will be selling lemonade to support childhood cancer. June 24 Live Music & Chef Matt Day: National fresh fruit and veggie month! Veggies and/or fruit for breakfast? Come try recipes including fruits & veggies in your morning breakfast routine. Enjoy live music with your breakfast sample by Sweetgrass Serenade. Sweetgrass Serenade have their roots in old country, bluegrass, folk, southern gospel and jazz. July 1 – Little Chef’s Day: Come learn to cook with Chef Matt for free! Ages 5-12. Session start times: 9am/10am/11am (until all seats are full!). Sessions last approximately 40 minutes. 

July 8 Fitness Foods & Live Music: Chef Matt will be sampling great fitness food to replenish your body after working out. Fleet Feet will also be at the market giving additional information and resources on great workout foods. Aubree’s salads makes two choices of fresh salads to go! July 15 Superheroes & Princesses Day Dress up and come take your picture with your favorite heroic ventures super heroes or enchanted elegance princesses from 9am-11am. 

July 22 Gate to Plate - Adult Cooking Class with Chef Matt: Chef Matt is teaching you to cook from scratch with ages 18+. We are making healthy eating easier for our adult crowd to learn how to use seasonal ingredients. Enjoy the hands on experience of making great recipes and learning tricks and tips from Chef Matt. Session food menus will be developed and posted 1 month prior to the class. Food restrictions when signing up must be mentioned. This is a free class. Sign up on www.huntersville.org is required as space is limited. Registration will open 1 month prior to the class. Sessions choices are at 8:30am or 10:30am. Sessions last approximately 1 hour.  

July 29 Live Music & July belongs to Blueberries: Chef Matt will be celebrating blueberries at the market with different recipes. Interested in learning how to grow blueberries? We will have that information for you too! Charlotte Folk Society / 10am-12pm.
