What is the Huntersville Growers' Market about?
Purpose: The Huntersville Growers' Market was established in 1999 to provide locally-grown food products, to sustain farmers in Huntersville and surrounding areas, and to strengthen a sense of community.
The HPRD Growers’ Market received a $46,000 grant in 2014 from the USDA.
With the money granted major improvements to the Growers' Market were made;
landscaping, more shade structures, tents, signage, picnic area, childrens' garden,
activities & additional special events to the downtown area.
Huntersville Growers' Market will be held at Huntersville Elementary School at 200 Gilead Road for the 2017 season as construction continues for the Town's new indoor facility, Veteran's Park, at Main Street and Maxwell Avenue. Please visit the Gallery Page to see all the exciting changes!
Shopping at the Market
In an effort to make sure our customers are getting the freshest and most in season produce at the market, the chart below provides when produce is considered "in season" for NC. Buying produce that is in season guarantees it has the best flavor and taste at the peak of its season. All of our vendors continue to provide organic and no chemically altered produce and meat.
