Strength of Finances Results in Top Bond Ratings

In the summer of 2010, Huntersville's Bonds were rated AAA by Standard and Poor’s Financial Services and Aaa by Moody’s Investors Service, the highest ratings for both rating agencies.  These improved ratings of Town of Huntersville bonds show that despite recent economic struggles, the Town remains in good financial condition, thanks in part to adequate reserves, strong financial policies and a healthy community overall.  This strong rating should further reduce debt payments on capital projects and ultimately save Huntersville taxpayers on interest costs for years to come as the town constructs capital projects to meet its infrastructure needs.
