Join us for the second Northwest Transportation Study Open House. The second and final open house will take place on October 19, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm (Drop-in anytime) at the Charlotte Water Dukes Treatment Plant (7980 Babe Stillwell Farm Road, Huntersville, NC 28078). Please join us and review the technical analysis and results of your involvement to help select proper alignments, design and connections for a comprehensive system of future road, bicycle and pedestrian facilities for our town.
The Town of Huntersville has initiated a planning study to evaluate the transportation needs in the northwest area of Huntersville, specifically focusing on how Ervin Cook Road, Hugh Torance Parkway and Birkdale Commons Parkway alignments connect to NC 73.
The first public engagement (open house) for this project was held on June 20, 2017 with over 200 participants in this attendance. In addition to the event, the Town of Huntersville administered an online survey that reached over 900 individuals. These were designed to find out what area residents and stakeholders value about transportation choice, facilities and connectivity. A summary of survey results and additional information on the project is available online at https://tinyurl.com/NWHuntersvilleStudy
We look forward to seeing everyone on October 19. Please contact Sushil Nepal, Principal Planner for more information at 704-766-2213 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
