Coffee Organizing Partnerships
January 28, 2014

The Huntersville Police would like to formally invite the Community to meet the officers that work in your neighborhoods to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink a free cup of coffee.

All community members are invited to attend. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. on January 28, 2014 at Dunkin Donuts located at10310 Wilmington St. Please contact Sgt.Kevin Tatur with questions: (704)464-5400, ktatur@huntersville.org.

Coffee with a Cop provides an opportunity for the community to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in the neighborhoods.

The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies, or emotional situations. These situations are not always the most effective times for relationships building with the community, and some residents may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. The Huntersville Police Department hopes to break down the barriers and allow for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction. We hope that residents will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, or simply get to know our officers. These interactions are the foundation of community partnerships.

So please join us at Dunkin Donuts on January 28, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.
