Media Release Number: 161019-01

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 19, 2016
HUNTERSVILLE, NC:

The Huntersville Police Department, in conjunction with the

US Marine Corps League (PFC Bruce Larson Det 1242) www.MCL1242.org

Requests your assistance with this year’s

Helping Hands for the Holidays Project

If you, your neighborhood or your organization would like to help a family or elderly person in need for the holidays, please contact:

Sgt Brad Habenicht at 704-464-5359 / bhabenicht@huntersville.org

We can combine individuals and/or groups to serve one family, or if you or your group wishes, you can individually support an entire family. Specific needs (such as clothing sizes, toys and so on) will be provided once we identify those who will receive the donations.

If you are unable to work with a group to support a family, but still wish to participate, we are accepting non-expired canned or boxed foods and/or gift certificates for local grocery stores. You can also drop a toy off at one of the many Toys for Tots locations throughout the North Mecklenburg area.

The Mission of the Huntersville Police Department, through a Community Policing Partnership, is to improve the quality of life and provide a sense of safety and security in our community, through the delivery of outstanding services with the highest standards of Honor, Professionalism, and Dedication to Duty.”
