I-77 EXPRESS LANES UPDATE:

- All lane closures on I-77 and I-277 are overnight lane closures. Times below reflect overnight hours

Northbound I-77

Expect lane closures from Exit 28 to Exit 35 as follows:
Monday, September 26 to Thursday, September 29 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from Exit 23 to Exit 25 as follows:
Monday, September 26 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from Exit 16 to Exit 18 as follows:
Monday, September 26 to Thursday September 29 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Southbound I-77

Expect lane closures from Exit 35 to Exit 28 as follows:
Monday, September 26 to Thursday, September 29 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from Exit 25 to Exit 23 as follows:
Monday, September 26 and Wednesday, September 28 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

OTHER ROAD PROJECTS:

I-77 Resurfacing Project
Please be aware that until October 29, 2016 there will be resurfacing operations taking place on I-77. This project allows lane closures to run from 8:00pm-6:00am Monday to Sunday. The contractor will resume operation northbound until mile marker 29.6 to the Iredell County line. After completion, the contractor will resume southbound from mile marker 29.6 to mile marker 10. Mile markers 20 to 24.5 will be skipped under this project and done at a later date by Sugar Creek Construction. 


Kerns Rd. Update
The full depth reclamation process has been completed and the concrete is curing. The contractor will not apply the final layer of asphalt and permanent pavement markings until the first week of October to ensure the new roadbed sets properly.
