NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Huntersville, NC until 2:00 p.m. on October 19 in the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Town Center, 105 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC for the construction of the Veterans Park at Main and Maxwell at which time and place Bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids will be taken for General Construction as specified on the project plans and specifications. Proposals must be made on standard forms furnished by the Town and must be marked, “Proposal”. The project is located at 103 Maxwell Avenue.

The Contractor can purchase the Bid Documents only from ARC Document Solutions, 800 Clanton Rd., Suite S, Charlotte NC, 28217, (704) 333-3009 during normal office hours. Plan charge is $100.00 + tax (Non-refundable). There is an additional charge for and postage and handling for each set mailed to a prospective bidder.

Plans and Specifications shall be on file at ARC Document Solutions 800 Clanton Rd., Suite S, Charlotte NC, 28217, (704) 333-3009 during normal office hours.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit equal to 5% of the total bid. This deposit may consist of Cash, or a Cashier's Check issued by or a Certified Check drawn on a Bank or Trust Company authorized to do business in North Carolina, or a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a U.S. Money Order payable to Town of Huntersville, or 5% Bid Bond in the form required by G.S.143-129, issued by an Insurance Company authorized to do business in North Carolina. Said deposit will be retained in the event of failure of the successful bidder to execute a Formal Contract within ten (10) days after award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law.

All bidders are notified that the laws of North Carolina, and applicable regulations of various Licensing Boards and M/W/SBE provisions, will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts. Bidders are advised that the Town of Huntersville has a goal of 10 percent (10%) minority enterprises, as mandated by G.S. 143-128.2(c) and G.S. 143-128.2(f). Each proposal shall identify the minority business participation it will use on the project.

The successful bidder shall be required to comply with all requirements of statutes and ordinances, specifically including Article 2, Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statues (E-verify) and N.C.G.S. 147-86.55 et. Seq. (Iran Divestment Act of 1915).


A pre bid meeting shall be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 30 in the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Town Center, 105 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC.

The Town of Huntersville reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
