MEDIA RELEASE Request for Public Assistance

HUNTERSVILLE, NC:

The Huntersville Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a tractor trailer and driver involved in a hit and run on Interstate 77 between Exits 25 and 23 in the southbound lane this morning at approximately 7:20 a.m.  The tractor trailer is described as having a purple cab with Indiana plates, and an unknown trailer.  The driver was a white male with a grey beard or goatee.  It was reported to this agency that this incident may have been videotaped and the Huntersville Police are looking for anyone who had witnessed this occurrence. Currently this case is under investigation by Officer Tom Slymon with the Huntersville Police Department.
