Last Friday, Huntersville Planning Director Jack Simoneau and Transportation Director Bill Coxe spoke with members of the Lake Norman Chamber about the topic "Examining the Growth in Huntersville" during their regular Focus Friday meeting.  Huntersville Commissioner and former Planning Board Member Jeff Neely joined them in discussing topics that ranged from the Town's 2030 Community Plan to commercial and industrial development.  Residents can keep up with current projects before the Planning Department by visiting our "Projects List" or "Current Projects Map" on the town Planning Department webpages.

During the meeting, Transportation Director Bill Coxe presented and distributed a map of the first five years of transportation projects in the NC Transportation Improvement Program and town's Capital Improvement Program.  Click HERE for map (PDF).  The dates on the map are the programmed start dates for construction with details on the following page of the map.  Any project under the current NC TIP that has money for either right of way or construction in FY ’20 or earlier is considered “protected.” Any project not “protected” gets re-scored in the next cycle of TIP development along with all other projects in NCDOT’s data base for FY18-27.
