Election Day may be months away, but the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections Office(BOE) wants to make sure that you have the information you need if you plan to work the polls this year.

The BOE has scheduled four information sessions during the month of April at the Valerie C. Woodard Center, Suite 108, located at 3205 Freedom Drive:

Tuesday, April 21
• Morning session: 10 a.m. to noon
• Afternoon session: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, April 30
• Morning session: 10 a.m. to noon
• Afternoon session: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The sessions will cover the job description, duties and other important information related to each of the following positions:

• Election Assistants
• Equipment Assistants
• Provisional/Transfer Assistants
• Judges
• Chief Judges

Sessions are limited to 30 people. If you would like to participate, please contact David Barley at David.Barley@MecklenburgCountyNC.gov or 980-314-0617. Additional sessions will be scheduled as needed.

2015 Election Dates:
• Tuesday, Sept.15 Primary Election
• Tuesday, Oct. 6 Matthews Primary and 2nd Primary Election (if needed)
• Tuesday, Nov. 3 General Election
