5-Year Consolidated Plan and FY16 AAP
Public Hearing & 30-day Comment Period
March 13, 2015
Mecklenburg County would like your participation in the review of the 2015-2020 Five Year Consolidated Plan and the FY 16 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. These annual documents are required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order to receive federal assistance to address housing, economic development, and community development issues. The Consolidated Plan prioritizes funding needs over a five year period that will address economic, physical, and human development needs in Mecklenburg County. The Annual Action Plan is a planning document Mecklenburg County submits each year to HUD detailing how the County proposes to spend the CDBG funds during the next program year.
The Five Year Consolidated Plan and the FY 16 Annual Action Plan are available for public review and comment from March 13, 2015 to April 13, 2015. Copies of these documents are available upon request from the Community & Economic Development Department, Centralina Council of Governments, 525 N. Tryon Street, 12th Floor, Charlotte, NC 28202 or online at www.MecklenburgCountyNC.gov or www.centralina.org.
The County will hold a Public Hearing to obtain comments on the proposed activities for Mecklenburg County’s CDBG program on Wednesday, April 8 from 4:00PM-5:00PM at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 East 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202, Fourth Floor Conference Room.
There are two ways to participate: 1) Present your comments at the public hearing. 2) Send written comments to: 525 N. Tryon Street, 12th Floor, Charlotte, NC 28202, Attn: Victoria Rittenhouse, CDBG Project Manager; or send an email to email@example.com. All letters and emails must be received by April 13, 2015 to be considered for the publication of Consolidated Plan and the Annual Action Plan.
