The Eastfield Road Small Area Plan Public Information Meeting will be held on November 15th, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 11724 Asbury Chapel Road.

The ERSAP is a long-range land use and transportation plan that will guide future land use, transportation and infrastructure investment decisions by the Town, developers and property owners within the Study Area. This plan is being prepared in response to anticipated development likely to occur in conjunction with completion of the last segment of I-485 and other improvements to the surrounding road network. As part of the Eastfield Road Small Area Plan (ERSAP) process, the Town is looking to finalize the location of thoroughfare alignments for the following roads (click here to view map):

Hambright Road - (Everette-Keith Road to Eastfield Road)
Everette-Keith Road - (Alexanderana Road to Verhoeff Drive Extension)
Verhoeff Drive Extension - (Asbury Chapel Road to Prosperity Church Road)

Please note that the locations for the proposed thoroughfare alignments are “preliminary” not final. A meeting will be held on November 15th at 6 pm at the Asbury United Methodist Church where these alignments will be presented to the public. The purpose of this meeting is to gather public input on each of the alignments from potentially affected property owners and then to make any necessary adjustments. Final thoroughfare alignment selections will only be made after the public has had the opportunity to review and comment on these alignments and after review and approval by the Planning Board and Town Board.

The planning schedule for the ERSAP calls for public information meetings in November and January, with a draft plan to be prepared in January 2013. A final plan is expected to be completed by April 2013 with final plan adoption anticipated in May 2013. Click here for a Project Schedule.
